Trip to the Aquarium

Yesterday James and I took Kathryn to the Dallas World Aquarium.  We had such a fun time walking around looking at all the animals and reptiles.  Our favorite was the shark tank, which was at the lowest level of the aquarium.  You walk through a water-filled tunnel with all the fish and sharks swimming around you.  James captured a pretty cool video of a sword fish (at least that's what it looked like to us).  We ate lunch at the aquarium hotel and walked around until all three of us were pooped and ready for a nap.

After our nap (yes, all of us took a nap :)), James and I took Kathryn to my mom's house so that we could go out and celebrate our friend Emilie's birthday.  We ate dinner at Mi Cocina, visited with friends, and ate a yummy red velvet cake.  Afterwards, we went back to Emilie and Jared's house for post dinner drinks.  We got home around 11:30pm, which let me tell you, is LATE for us!  All in all it was a fun filled day!

Daddy's Little Girl

I love that my husband is able to spend so much time with our baby girl.  During the work week my mom and James split up the days with Kathryn so that she doesn't have to go to daycare and I can still work.  Luckily with technology nowadays, I am constantly "in the know" of what is going on with my Mini.  I get regular updates on my phone of pics and video throughout the day, which I will admit is sometimes pure torture.  However, I cannot remind myself enough how lucky we are that she is surrounded by family and love 24/7!  Here are some cute pics of my baby girl that her daddy took over the last few months (you can tell who dresses her in the morning :) ).

New at This

After having Kathryn last September I knew that somehow I wanted to document her milestones, whether it was through a blog or baby website.  I ended up using the Baby Jelly Beans website to create a fun personalized album of her first year- which has been great for family and friends wanting to keep up with her busy little life.  Now that she is almost a year old (eek!), I decided it is time for something new (and cheaper).  So here I am, blogging for the first time.  This site is going to continue to focus on my baby girl and her everyday adventures.  For all you expert bloggers out there, feel free to offer me tips and suggestions!

Thanks for stopping by!  :)
