A Week in iPhone Pics

Week 15: August 21-27, 2011

Sunday
Play date with Jack and Owen.  Dinner date with the Cockerhams at Red Dog Right.  They have amazing skinny margaritas!

Monday
Tried a new type of swing at My Gym..the tire swing!  Brings me back to the good ole' days at my Grandma's house when I was little.  Enjoying the regular swing, and going for a motorcycle ride with Daddy.

Tuesday
Someone got in trouble in the car.....hubs told her she was going to stand in the corner when they went inside, and instead she opted for outside.

Wednesday
Wednesday is the day I go into the office, and on our lunch break my coworkers and I stopped at Big Lots for some bottled water.  I had to get Mini this cute airplane toy.  Yes once again, buying her something, it happens everywhere I go.  That afternoon marked a major milestone in our family- K graduated to the toddler bed!  Such a big girl!  She transitioned pretty good...but unfortunately woke up the next morning very sick.

Thursday
My poor baby had a very high temp and sore throat.  I took the day off to be with her.  That afternoon I dropped K at my mom's so I could get color put on my hair.  I'm sure I got some interesting looks on the way home.  ;)

Friday
Poor little one still didn't feel good, but was well enough to go to Grandma's for the day.  She enjoyed coloring, snuggling, and playing in a laundry basket.

Saturday
I got K's bed all pretty and situated.  I am waiting on my mom to finish her pillow case- it will be light pink minky with her name monogramed in the center.  So lucky to have a mother so talented!  Hubs took the day off to help me take care of Mini, so the day started with coffee at Panera Bread.  That afternoon, K was feeling better and decided to "play" in her room, aka drop a bomb.  That evening, I walked in to check on her and took this picture.  She loves her new Swiper toy Grandma got her for feeling bad.

A Week in iPhone Pics

Week 14: August 14-20, 2011

Sunday
Coloring with Gorgeous (Grandma) at Madison's birthday dinner.

Monday
Morning milk and snuggles while watching Rio.  A trip to (where else) but My Gym.  Coloring in the evening with Mommy.

Tuesday
A breakfast of champions prepared by daddy.  Eggs and whole wheat blueberry waffles.  Only the best for the little princess!  More play time at My Gym, and coloring with mom (I am beginning to see a trend here).

Wednesday
Waking up extra happy in piggy tails.  Mini tried one of Mommy's cake balls, and (shocker!) actually enjoyed it!  Her face enjoyed it too. :)  Sitting on top of the couch (a big no no), but daddy was having coffee with grandpa so I won't tell if you don't.  I am finally finished with my certification at work, so we celebrated with Pho, my new obsession.  That evening hubs and I perfected the art of cake balls, the choice dessert at Mini's up and coming birthday party.  Chocolate covered strawberry cake balls, anyone??

Thursday
Enjoying a cheese omlette with Grandma.

Friday
So, I stuck my arm in a 400 degree oven to pull out cake balls, and decided to lean my arm against the oven.  This is the result one day after.  It will be such a pretty scar.  Not.  Later that day I bought a new monitor for my office.  I have it set up with my laptop to be a dual system, and it rocks!  That evening Mini and I snuggled on the couch waiting for daddy to get of work.

Saturday
Lunch at Chick Fil A.  K tried some pickles and surprisingly enjoyed them!  I have started a nasty habit with her.  Every time I go anywhere, I buy the girl something.  We walked into Jo Ann's fabric, and she started screaming "toys!"  It's crazy.  So, being the sucker mom I am, I bought her some play bottles for her dolls.  She is such a good little mommy.

A Week in iPhone Pics

Week 13: August 7-13, 2011

Sunday
Playing at Chick Fil A.  Watching Rio in the evening.  Our new favorite movie!

Monday
These puppies have the life!

Tuesday
My little grey riding hood.

Wednesday
Smiling big at My Gym.

Thursday
Daddy time before bed.  So sweet!  My booda being well, a bood.  Love that dog!

Friday
K's invitations came in the mail!  I can't believe her party is almost here.  The flowers are for my sister, Aunt Nanny is officially a RN! We are so proud of her!  That evening we celebrated at Mi Chulas, and walked around the water fountains.  I was lucky enough to get a kiss.  ;)

Saturday
Mini, Aunt Nanny and I went to My Gym class.  K had so much fun showing off for her Nanny.  She even enjoyed the swing!  That evening we celebrated Papa's birthday at Babes.  Yum!

A Week in iPhone Pics

Week 12: July 31-August 6, 2011

Sunday
We "helped" Aunt Emmy move into her new apartment.  By help, I mean we terrorized.  :)  She was pretty tired afterwards.

Monday
Mini enjoyed class at My Gym during the day.  I enjoyed sushi and a martini at night.  That evening while I was at dinner, hubs sent me pictures of her strutting her stuff.  So cute.

Tuesday
I got my paper certification for ITIL!  Woohoo!

Wednesday
Enjoying play time at My Gym.

Thursday
Mini loves to wear my shoes.  Heck, she loves to wear her daddy's shoes!  We enjoyed the evening on the couch while she drank her milk.  Earlier that evening during dinner, she didn't want to put her "wand" down.  It joined us for dinner. ;)

Friday
Freshly bathed and fed, relaxing in her rocking chair and watching Dinosaur Train.  What a life!  Hubs went to Best Buy to buy a movie for himself, and instead came back with a movie for Mini!  So Sweet.

Saturday
Saturday morning class at My Gym.  Fun on the "flying saucer", low crawling through a tunnel, and of course, the good 'ole ball pit.  For lunch we went to Chick Fil A, which involved more playing.  :)  That evening we watched Rio.  Mini loved all the colorful birds!

Look What I Can Do!

This post is long over due!  Mini is getting so big and so smart, and I wanted to share everything she has been up to.  Prepare to be wowed.  ;)

New Accomplishments
Diapers.  We are finally in size 4!  Hooray!  We are on the verge of potty training.  I'm not worried about rushing, in fact I enjoy changing diapers.  No really.  :)  She tells us when she goes number 1 and 2, so we are getting really close.
Teeth: 16 with one more about to break through.
Counting.  To 12.  Impressive huh?
Milk.  We are done with our battle of milk, and have switched to Pediasure.  Mini loves it, and I love it because she is getting the nourishment she needs (+ 240 calories per bottle!).  It's a win win.  Minus the expensive part.  :/
Animals.  Kathryn knows monkey, giraffe, gorilla, lion, zebra, dog, cat, fish, bird, lamb, horse, cow, shark, snake, spider, bunny, whale, pig, fox, bear, dinosaur (raaar), ...the list goes on.
Sounds.  She can also make the noise of most of the animals listed above, particularly the monkey, lion, dog, cat, horse, cow, snake, whale, dinosaur, and pig.
Sensations.  She has finally grasped the difference between hot and cold, and can also tell if something is heavy.  She knows when she gets a boo boo, and loves when we kiss it.  She then will say, "all better!"  Melt my heart.
Singing.  Kathryn can sing.  Sing!  Her favorite songs are ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, You are My Sunshine, Dinosaur Train theme song, and her newest, One Big Wish from Dora.
Dinosaur Train.  Mini was really into this show when she was itty bitty.  Who wouldn't be with the beautiful, bright colors of this show in HD?  Well, she fell off the bandwagon and became obsessed with Dora for a period of time.  Long period.  Lately she has been loving Dinosaur Train, thank goodness!  With my obsession with dinosaurs, I definitely don't mind.  She knows most of the characters by name now; Buddy, Don, Mom, Dad, Tiny, and King.

New Words and Phrases
"I'm sorry... it's ok"  (this is one sentence, said by one toddler lol)
"Tortilla", "Motorcycle", and "Bicycle"- all 3 syllables
"Thank you"
"I got it"
"See you tomorrow"
"Kershaw", "Boods" (Daisy), and "Dixie"
"Where'd it go?"
"What's that noise?"
"All better!"
"Night night, love you, see you tomorrow"
"It's a diaper!"
"Dora" (instead of the usual "Dor")

New Skills
Jumping.  Kathryn is working on jumping and getting better and better everyday.  My sister is a nurse and told me children don't learn to jump until 3.  K will be 2 in September.  Wow!
Balance Beam. She can also walk a balance beam, assisted by her daddy of course.  Her coordination and balance have improved immensely since joining My Gym three weeks ago.  An investment well spent in my eyes!
The Dreaded Swing. Sounds innocent enough, but Mini has always been deathly afraid of them.  She is now starting to enjoy it, especially the "traffic jam" at her gym (a bunch of swings attached to each other).
Climbing.  This girl loves to climb.  But what is so neat, is her ability to climb up something and figure her way back down.  That is extremely important to me, and makes me feel better about her safety.
Hanging.  She can hang from a bar.  You know, like one of those that gymnasts use.  She is so strong, and can hang for about 5 seconds.  Her instructors are so impressed with her.

Well, that is all I can think of at the moment.  I was reading over this with hubs, trying to think of things we had missed.  But to tell you the truth, it will never be current.  She learns something new every day.  This baby girl never ceases to amaze me!
